TIME

What is it?  None of us really know.

How much of it do we have?  Again, none of us really know.

Time is something I always talk about to you.  How to utilize it, make it, and change it.

Recently, I have had issues with it.  Yes, breath a sigh of relief, even I struggle.

My work schedule can be erratic.  It is anywhere from 4:30 am to 7 pm.  If I am going to be up early and work late where do I sleep?  When do I take time for myself?  Ulitmately, how can I help all of you if I am not helping myself?

Here is what happened when I made these bad decisions.  Missed work, productivity, excitement, and participating in things that I love.

So how do I solve this?  How do any of YOU solve this or any health issue?  Here was my action plan.

First, I realized how much more difficult and complicated life can be.

Second, I wanted be everywhere for everyone and do everything, yet it was impossible but I needed to start somewhere.

Third, I  found out what made me most happy.  For me, it was and will be  helping other people.

Finally, TIME needs merely to be understood.  Work with it!

Nothing can keep me or you from what we want but we have to do it with our companion TIME, even though we do not know or understand it.

We have to accept TIME.

My mission after this is I want to help as many of you as possible.  I want to give you the most amount of information possible.  This is what keeps me awake at night.

But tonight, I will make sure to get some sleep as long as you promise to work hard for me tomorrow.

  1. Wow! Yah… I hear all of that! Glad I made the choice to start taking care of myself and getting out of a place where I was unhappy and sucking my time away from me! Realizing that I need to focus on what I love to do – help people! It’s important to make sure we take care of ourselves and be happy or else we aren’t able to help others correctly and in an effective way! Making the most out of our time and being efficient is so important – I found myself beingn there for people at all times of the day… 6am to 9pm 5-6 days a week and it became too much for my body to handle and for me to keep good health. It’s all about BALANCE! Having time for yourself and time for helping others! Time is our friend – we just have to be wise about how we use it! :)

  2. Thanks Adam! Time is something we always think we don’t have enough of. But what it really is, is that we don’t manage the time we do have (mostly cramming too much in) and everything suffers, usually us. It’s been hard but I’ve learned to say no in order to get the quality out of the things I do that are most important. And yes, I’ll work extra hard today….maybe 900!!!

  3. Love it Adam!! Thanks for ALL you do to make me a better person! You rock! There is time for EVERYTHING as long as you make it!

  4. We appreciate you always being there for us Adam, but do please take time for you too. I think we could all learn that lesson a little. Slow down and take time for self and you will be better able to give time. It’s so true that we don’t know how much we have. We all need to use it the best way possible.

  5. I read your blog Adam. Sounds good.

  6. Isn’t it funny how when we were young, we had all the time in the world…we couldn’t wait until summer vacation, Christmas, time to be with our friends… And then we grow up, go to college, find jobs, start a family… What started out plenty of time on our hands turns into not enough time as we get older. Reality is, time does turn into what we are going to carve out as time for ourselves as we live our life everyday. We get so tunnel-visioned (Adam, you should like that as I threw in an optical phrase) that we forget what is important. Thanks Adam for spelling it out–we are here for each other for support and success and we can work around time, not against it.

  7. Thanks Adam! This post reminded me to the fact that we cannot fight against TIME but rather work with it and make the most of what it offers…:). Once again thanks for being there for us, but please do take some time for yourself as well.

  8. Thank you for all the responses on the blog so far. My only goal ever with this blog is to reach out to everyone. I want all of you know help is here.

  9. hi a-wright ;-)
i love your blog! time is so difficult to manage. i know i struggle with that. right now i am doing the job of four people at work, at the beginning i worked all the time and i realized i was suffering. so now i make sure i make time to at least get an hour work out in, and some ‘me’ time, whether it’s going to dinner w/ friends or reading a book on the couch. i realized i was doing my company any favors if i was tired and worn down. the only person who will take time for you is you!

hope you are doing well. miss you!
